A Scent for the Ages:

Let's face it, people like to smell sexy. Now I suppose sexy isn't the same for ever senor or Senorita, and I'm sure theres a few freaks out there who find themselves terribly turned on by the intoxicating aroma of a tantalizing Tuna Casserole. And if you just so happen to be one of the afformentioned indivduals (freaks* cough cough) then please quit reading now, because this bloggity woggity obviously isn't directed at you.

It has been said that it is the sense of smell, not that that of sight(as many an uneducated individuals might think) that captivates not only the mind but the heart. Scientific research has proven that smell triggers the most memories in the brain, and who can argue with science?

So if scent is our strongest sense, then I think it's increasingly important that we as hip hop happening students; smell amazing. However, this is often easier said then done, as an unfathomable amount of colognes/perfumes are easily available to us as scent consumers.

So how does one pick a signature scent, in this cologne cornucopia? Don't!! Let the Snow Melter pick for you!

I consider myself to be a Cologne Conneusier, and with nearly 30 bottles in my collection, I've dealt with success and yes I will admit failure in the scent department. But please learn from my trails and tribulations, and perhaps even borrow a cologne for a special evening when you want to smell your sexiest!

Welcome to Melting Snow: Introductory Post

Melting Snow
With
Henry O.

Although the grass is still green, and the leaves still cling to the tree, hoping just to hold on if only for another week, before their unfortunate and impending demise. Alas, it shall not always be so. And if stepping outside, you can still feel the radiant warmth of the sun upon your luscious locks. Alas, it shall not always be so. For soon my friends, yes very soon indeed, Mother Nature will once again turn her back upon this vibrant and verdant land, and the world as we know it, a world of fun, sun, swimming, and skateboarding shall quite simply cease to exist.
But do not fret dear friends, for even when the last leaf finally falls to the ground, laid to rest in a shallow grave, among his brethren of gold and ginger. Do not despair, for all is not lost, and while the warmth of the sun may have left us, the fire in our hearts burns on, and my friends, this fire shall not be wasted!
It is safe to assume that flowers and fireweed aren’t the only things blooming during the summer months. Yes, many a relationship also blossom while the sun shines sweetly upon our state. Be it the freedom from school, the persistent heat, or perhaps even the breathtaking and bountiful beauty that surrounds us, something about the summer months; deeply effects not only our hearts but our inhabitations.
But what are we to do when the sun stops shining, and all the flowers fall victim to the frost? Well never fear my friends, for I shall not leave you to wonder. The answer is quite simple, read my column! For I Henry Orth, am here to assist you with any and all things romantic in nature. I shall become a matchmaker, a guru, and perhaps even a shoulder to cry on, for what hurts worse then an aching heart?
My goal for this column is to keep summers spark alive throughout the long winter. For even when the sun seems too tired to even lift his weary head, the light in our hearts shall shine like beacons bright upon this barren land. And no longer, like the Black Eyed Peas will we have to wonder, “Where is the Love”? Because, we’ve found that love my friends, and its been inside of us the whole time!
